A Suspended eBay Account is a Common Problem for many Sellers.

In such a situation, eBay sends a message with content like the one below, or very similar:
What you need to know
- You can’t use the account to buy/sell items, and any new accounts created by you may also be suspended.
- All sales listings have been removed. They are visible below.
- We have refunded all associated fees for your sales listings except for the final value fees.
- Any outstanding selling fees still apply and will be charged to your payment method registered in our system. If you have already filed claims as part of a dispute regarding these fees, they will not be charged until the claims are resolved.

or in German, when the seller’s account was set up for a German company, or simply German eBay verified and deemed the seller’s account to potentially violate platform rules:
“Hello [account name]
We have temporarily restricted your seller account as we have noticed activities that, in our assessment, pose a risk to our community. We kindly ask you to verify your eBay account by phone as soon as possible so that we can be sure we have the correct information from you.
To contact us, go to the Help page Temporary Restriction and Suspension of an eBay Account and scroll all the way down; there you will find the contact information for our customer service.
The restriction remains on your eBay account until we have verified your information. Until then, you cannot create new listings. All active listings have been removed and placed in your “Unsold” folder in My eBay. Below you will find detailed information about the listings we have removed. We have also credited the associated fees to your eBay account.
Once we have verified your account details, you can immediately start selling again. You can then also relist items from your unsold items folder by selecting Relist to the right of the respective listing.
Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.”
What Can be the Reason for an eBay Account Suspension:
– maintaining a “Below Standard” account status for over 3 months on ebay.pl, “Unterdurchschnittlich” on ebay.de, “Below Standard” on ebay.com and ebay.co.uk
– outdated company and tax data (invalid VAT number, discrepancies in company name and address, etc.)
– a large number of negative comments – even if they don’t directly affect the account’s condition, a large number of them in a short time can lead to restrictions on the eBay account, and then to account suspension
– selling non-original goods

– other violations of eBay platform rules
On eBay, a Seller Can Have one of 3 Account Standards:
1. Top Rated Seller on ebay.pl, on ebay.de: Verkäufer mit Top-Bewertung werden – this is the best possible status on the eBay platform, giving access to all forms of advertising and promotion, as well as eBay Guarantee
2. Above Standard on ebay.pl, on ebay.de: Überdurchschnittlich – this is the standard that every seller must maintain for the eBay account to function fully, giving access to all forms of advertising and promotion
3. Below Standard on ebay.pl, on ebay.de: Unterdurchschnittlich – the worst possible account standard, remaining in this standard for an extended period is one of the reasons for eBay account suspension, moreover, accounts with this status cannot run ads
A seller should always strive to maintain Top Rated Seller/Verkäufer mit Top-Bewertung/Top Rated status, or at least maintain Above Standard/Überdurchschnittlich/Above Standard.
